PriceProof Wishlist — Merchant Guide
Add a heart button to product pages and a wishlist page for saved items — works for guests without accounts, shows you real demand signals (total wishes, unique shoppers, top-wished products), and exports raw CSV. Completely free, no caps, no locked features.
Why this app exists
Most wishlist apps force shoppers to create an account before they can save anything — adding friction exactly when intent is highest. Others layer on upsell pop-ups, marketing emails, or back-in-stock alerts you didn't ask for.
This app does one thing well: a heart button + a wishlist page that works for everyone immediately.
- Guests tap the heart and their list is remembered per browser (no login wall)
- Logged-in customers keep their list under their account identity
- You see what shoppers actually want in a simple dashboard — total wishes, unique shoppers, most-wished products — with a raw CSV export for your own analysis
No scopes, no customer data, no crawling, no AI. Just a clean demand signal.
What you get (every feature is free)
| Feature | What it does for you |
|---|---|
| Two theme blocks, zero code | Add the "Wishlist heart" block to your product template and the "Wishlist page" block to any page in the theme editor. Remove the app and nothing is left behind in your theme. |
| Guests can wish too | No login wall: guest wishlists are remembered per browser, and signed-in customers keep their list under their account identity. |
| See demand before it converts | The dashboard ranks your most-wished products and counts total wishes and unique shoppers — a free demand signal for restocks and promotions. |
| Raw CSV export | Download every wish (product, wisher type, date) for your own analysis. Included, like everything else. |
| Radically private | The app requests no Admin API scopes at all — wishes arrive through the storefront app proxy with the product handle and title snapshotted at click time. No orders, no customer data reads, no catalog crawling, no AI. |
How it works (2 minutes to live)
- Install — the dashboard opens immediately; there is nothing to configure.
- In the theme editor, add the Wishlist heart block to your product template and the Wishlist page block to a page (e.g., a new "Wishlist" page).
- Shoppers tap the heart to save products; the wishlist page lists their saved items with image and price, with a Remove link.
- Watch the dashboard — total wishes, unique shoppers, top-wished products — and download the CSV any time.
What this app is / isn't (honest framing)
- It is a lightweight wishlist for stores that want hearts and a saved-items page without customer-account requirements or upsell pop-ups.
- It does not send marketing emails, back-in-stock alerts, or price-drop alerts — and it cannot, by design: it never collects shopper contact details.
- It does not modify your theme code; both surfaces are app blocks you add and remove in the theme editor.
FAQ
Do shoppers need an account?
No. Guests are remembered per browser (a random id in their browser's local storage). If a shopper logs in, their wishlist is kept under their customer id instead.
What data does the app store?
Per wish: the product id/handle/title snapshot, an anonymous wisher id (or the customer id for logged-in shoppers), and a timestamp. Nothing else — the app has no Admin API scopes.
Does the wishlist survive cart/checkout?
The wishlist is independent of the cart; it stays until the shopper removes items (or clears their browser storage, for guests).
Will it slow my store down?
The blocks load one small script; items on the wishlist page are fetched client-side from your store's public product JSON.
Where is my data stored?
Japan (Tokyo), on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
